Worlds collide on May 23, 2014 when both X-Men from the old guard and new join forces to stop the impeding doom of complete obliteration. The first trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past dropped this past week and easily has become one of the most anticipated movies of the new year. Bryan Singer is back with Magnetos, Professor Xaviers, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Blink, Bishop, Iceman, Kitty Pride, Mystique, and Beast. The whole gang is here sans Jean and the Juggernaut, bitch. Watch the incredibly intense teaser trailer for Days of Future Past after the break. When initial announcement of Days of Future Past dropped, it was as if X-Men fans were visited by both divorced parents at the same time, receiving Christmas presents from both parents. Time travel is no stranger to the X-Men universe, and the coming together of X-Men both old and new in cinematic form is one of the most fantastic ideas anyone has had in Hollywood this decade. And not only both casts from Bryan Singer’S and Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men collaborating in a single movie, but fans will also see Sentinels in action, which have been teased in viral marketing at at Comic-Con.
Neither generation of mutants are safe. From the trailer below, utter chaos is raining down on society from both spectrums of the space time continuum. Humans are running for their lives in the past while the mutants of the future are doing everything in their power to stay alive. Can both parties come to a mutual agreement before the mutant race is annihilated off the face of this earth? Watch the trailer below to find out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ4S9AKaGBo Chills. If only both old and new X-Men were working together side by side and not just Wolverine. In the last scene of the trailer with the two Xaviers, my theory is that Young Xavier is linking to Old Xavier via Wolverine’s mind. And that seems to be as close as we’ll get to having both parties in the same room together. With this only being a teaser trailer, I can’t wait to see how the Sentinels will be involved since Bolivar Trask had just a brief appearance in this trailer.
Here is a brief plot synopsis of X-Men: Days of Future Past courtesy of 20th Century Fox:
