One of the hottest working models today, Emily Ratajkowski, is scorching up the pages of the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 50th Anniversary Issue. Appearing in not one, but two photo shoots – the second being a body paint pictorial – this Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie has easily earned her right of passage for more issues to come.
It must be a requirement for all Sports Illustrated swimsuit models to appear in a Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s commercial. Before Ratajkowski became known as that “Blurred Lines” brunette, she shot a CJ/H ad with the lovely Sara Jean Underwood, which was the first time she entered my heart.
The Westminster born model was raised in Encinitas, California. She signed on with Ford Models as the age of 14 and dropped out of UCLA after one year to model full-time – most likely the smartest decision of her life. The now 22-year-old has also appeared in a few episodes of iCarly and has also been cast to star in David Fincher’s Gone Girl with Ben Affleck. Most recently it has been announced that she will be making an appearance in the Entourage movie. I’d say she is doing just fine without a college degree.

Photographed by Walter Iooss Jr. in St. Lucia. The body paint was inspired by the 2007 Bar Rafaeli photo shoot where she wore Susan Holmes Swimwear.
And if that wasn’t enough, check out Emily’s Instagram account @emrata where she provides updates of photo shoots, party pictures, and glimpses behind the scenes of her model life.
