Theaters have been flooded with faith based movies this year; Noah, God’s Not Dead, Heaven is for Real, and Son of God, just to name a few. And here we have the latest trailer from Ridley Scott‘s Exodus: Gods and Kings, based on the story of Moses and the 10 plagues of Egypt. Are you not entertained? Watch the first full-length trailer after the jump.
Like Noah, Ridley Scott’s biblical epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings, has ramped up the action. Now I’m no religious scholar, but I don’t remember anything in the tale of Moses about an all out war. When did Moses become such a skilled archer? But I digress, stories like these have many interpretations and if it fits the tone of Scott’s film then so be it.
The teaser trailer before this introduced us to Moses and Rhamses–Ramesses-Ramses (however they’re spelling it), and now here we receive the plagues. Depicted in countless forms of media, the plagues have always been a momentous occasion in biblical history. We’ve seen this story time and time again, so what I’m hoping for from Scott is something compelling enough to justify it’s assuambly long run time.
