It has come to that point in the year when Sports Illustrated unveils its Swimsuit Issue cover. Per ancient tradition and the sacrifice of 18 virgins, one top model has been chosen to grace the most sought after cover in the industry. This year’s lucky model for the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is none other than 24-year-old Hannah Davis. Jimmy Fallon was this year’s late night host to make the big reveal.

Such a grand stage to showcase an image of yourself with your bottoms barely covering your lady bits. All jokes aside, Hannah Davis looks absolutely stunning. I’d have to say the lightning is particularly superb. Derek Jeter is a lucky man.

The cover was taken by Ben Watts, thus marking Davis’ third appearance in the Swimsuit Issue, consecutively since 2013. Hannah only just found out about her title on Tuesday this week in a prank initiated by Sports Illustrated Now and and the assistant managing editor MJ Day. The whole ordeal brought the young lass to tears.

“I told my mom there was no way I’d get the cover. I told her ‘They do beaches for covers and I’m on a farm. There’s no way. It’s not possible.'”

The farm she speaks of is Tenneesee’s Blackberry Farm, a luxury hotel founded by Kreis and Sandy Beall in 1976. From her Jersey shore shoot to Blackberry Farm, Davis proves that a sunny beach does not inherently mean SI Swimsuit cover.

“I’ve always enjoyed the whole Swimsuit experience, and said that anything extra—a little square on the cover or anything like that—was a bonus. But still, this was my dream.”

Davis joins the ranks of last year’s cover models Chrissy Teigan, Nina Agdal, and Lily Aldridge, along with its many other alumni including Kate Upton (2012-2013), Irina Shayk (2011), Bar Refaeli (2009), Beyoncé Knowles (2007), Tyra Banks (1997), Heidi Klum (1998), Cheryl Tiegs (1970, 1975, 1983), and Christy Brinkley (1979-1981).

The  2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue will hit newsstands on Monday, February 9.
