Welcome to your Netflix Streaming Report for April 30, 2015. After the long week you deserve a relaxing staycation with a bowl of popcorn, a bucket of ice cream, and only your Netflix queue to judge you. This past week, Netflix Watch Instant has been kind enough to supply us with Sons of Anarchy, Left Behind, National Treasure, and more.
Sons of Anarchy (Season 7) (Kurt Sutter) – A man in his early 30s struggles to find a balance in his life between being a new dad and his involvement in a motorcycle club. Starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, and Mark Boone Junior
Now that all seven season of Sons of Anarchy are now on Netflix, you have no reason not to check this highly praised show out – myself included.
Left Behind (Vic Armstrong) Rated PG-13 [110 min] – A small group of survivors are left behind after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is plunged into chaos and destruction. Starring Nicolas Cage, Lea Thompson, Cassi Thomson, and Chad Michael Murray
I haven’t seen this film, and the GIF above does reflect the film’s content, but I can only imagine that it has some relevance to it.
National Treasure (Jon Turteltaub) Rated PG [131 min] – A historian races to find the legendary Templar Treasure before a team of mercenaries. Starring Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Jon Voight, and Sean Bean
Make it a double feature night with Nic Cage! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen National Treasure, but I can’t recall it being over two hours. That’s nuts. Maybe that’s in its favor because the film is generally fun and is one of Nic Cage’s more subdued roles – if you prefer the calm and intuitive Nic Cage type. Plus this has Ned Stark, himself, Mr. Sean Bean!
Here’s additional titles that released this past week:
- The Humbling
- Chef’s Table (Season 1)
- Bluebird (2013)
- Rocket Men
What will you be watching this weekend?
Look forward to more new titles from the Netflix Streaming Report every Thursday on TTRC.
