Welcome to your Netflix Streaming Report for May 26, 2016. After the long week you deserve a relaxing staycation with a bowl of popcorn, a bucket of ice cream, and only your Netflix queue to judge you. This past week, Netflix Watch Instant has been kind enough to supply us with Lady Dynamite, Graceland, The Letters, Bitten, Dramaworld, and more. Also, find out what is the Netflix and Chill pick of the week and which titles are leaving this June.

From a former writer/producer on South Park as well as Team America: World Police, Pam Brady, and writer/producer Mithcell Hurwitz (creator of Arrested Development), you’d think Lady Dynamite would be a hit comedy success? Sadly the trailer for the series would have you think otherwise. Maybe this just isn’t my kind of comedy, but I don’t find any of the spastic humor from Maria Bamford being all that funny or refreshing. Her character, based on her life, comes across as too adult-baby like to get on board with. There are some pretty solid reviews championing Lady Dynamite, but I don’t see it really catching on. And with the limited amount of content out this past week, I am also including Lady Dynamite as my Netflix and Chill pick of the week.

It’s Memorial Day Weekend. For many, you get a day off work. Go spend your time doing something more than just sitting in front of your TV watching below average sitcoms. Have fun. Or use this series as a chance to at least reach third base.
