If you’re like me, you have probably also seen every episode of Home Improvement and still watch reruns to this day. Twelve years later the entire main cast returns for an exclusive photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly’s annual reunion issue. This reunion did not mean as much to the cast as it did for Tim Allen (Tim Taylor) and Patricia Richardson (Jill Taylor) being able to see former teen heartthrob Jonathan Taylor Thomas (Randy Taylor), now 30-years-old, who had not seen the duo since his departure from the show in 1998.
Check out the reunion image after the break!
Of course, Taran Noah Smith (Mark Taylor), Zachery Ty Bryan (Brad Taylor), Richard Karn (Al Borland), and Debbe Dunning (Heidi Keppert) were all in attendance. Unfortunately the character Wilson Wilson Jr. could not be in attendance due to Earl Hindman’s passing in 2003.
The cast did reunite two years ago at the TV Land Awards, but J.T.T. was absent. With the whole gang back, it brings back fond memories of such a wonderful program. Home Improvement never faltered throughout it’s eight seasons and ended on a great note, which to me makes it one of the best family sitcoms of all time.
It’s amazing to think back 12-years ago and see how much has changed with the actors and where there careers have gone. Other than Richard Karn hosting Family Feud for three years, Patricia Richardson having a one-year stint on The West Wing, and Tim Allen making appearances in a few movies (Wild Hogs anyone?) and voice acting in the Toy Story franchise, not much has been accomplished by the rest of the cast.
I have to say, other than the natural progression of age, no one has truly changed in appearance other than Taran Noah Smith. What do you think? Were you a fan of the series?
