Full-Length ‘This Is The End’ Red Band Trailer is High on Laughs and Spoilers

This Is The End 2013 Red Band Trailer

For those who attended WonderCon this past weekend, many who sat in on the Sony Pictures panel got an early sneak peek at Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s This Is The End. Conventioneers got a taste of two special clips and the first exclusive look at the full-length green band trailer. Funny enough, the green band trailer has not yet been released, but a brand spanking new red band trailer has. Check it out after the break.

Anyone who has been following the works of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, and Craig Robinson will be treated to a comedy of epic proportions. Like The Avengers, This Is The End brings together some of the greatest young minds of cinematic comedy of this generation. If this film can deliver the goods harder than what is shown in this red band trailer, than I would find it hard-pressed to see anything more hilarious this year. And even though this new full-length red band trailer delivers more scenes, it offers the same level of comedic tone that the teaser trailer did.

This Is The End 2013 Red Band Trailer Apocalypse

I am expressing extreme caution to those who like to remain spoiler free. This red band trailer gives away quite a few gags and shows a few people dying. If you trust yourself not to be mad when you check out this trailer, hope that they have far superior moments in the actual film because this trailer is a tummy tickler. Watch the trailer below and find out what happens when six friends face the apocalypse:

When it comes to movie marketing, I’m all gung-ho to tease and pique interests. This red band trailer does so, but at what cost? They should have focused a little more on story with laughs then just all on laughs. Aside from this sextet trying to survive what seems like an alien invasion, we are not give a real good idea of the plot.

[QUICK SPOILERS] I would have preferred to wait and see the Superbad reunion of Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Michael Cera, and Jonah Hill in the movie. And although I was spoiled and saw the death of Michael Cera at WonderCon, I can’t believe they would put it in the trailer. Regardless, his death has a great lead up to the punchline and a joke afterwards, but we didn’t need to see that in the trailer. [END SPOILERS]
