Pixar’s ‘Monsters University’ Easter Eggs Revealed

Monsters University Easter Eggs Pizza Planet

As many loyal Pixar fans may know, the studio likes to add little hidden gems in their films that increase the enjoyment for true Pixar geeks. Pixar has just released a few screenshots from Monsters University pointing out just where to find some of the most notorious Easter Eggs common in all of their films. I was able to spot most of them, but wasn’t able to find the Pizza Planet truck or A113, and I saw the film twice. Check out what you may have missed from Monsters University after the break.

I wouldn’t blame you if you missed a lot of the Easter Eggs in Monsters University; the film has a lot going on at all times. It’s always exciting to find the Pixar Eater Eggs spread across their 14 movie catalog – the Luxo Ball, call backs to other Pixar movies, and more. Sometimes it is hard to keep track of them all because you are enjoying the movie so much. But never fear! Check out some of the Easter Eggs below:

Monsters University Easter Eggs A113

A113 – The School of Scaring classroom number is A113, which refers to the former classroom of John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton at CalArts. The number makes an appearance in every Pixar feature film.

Monsters University Easter Eggs Pizza Planet

Pizza Planet – The Pizza Planet truck is in the driveway of the JOX fraternity house when Mike is riding Archie the Scare Pig down Greek Row. The Pizza Planet truck, which first made an appearance in “Toy Story,” has made a cameo in nearly every Pixar feature film.

Monsters University Easter Eggs Luxo Ball

Luxo – The Pixar Luxo ball is in graffiti on the wall behind Claire Wheeler and Brock Pearson during their introduction to the Scare Games’ first challenge. Pixar Animation Studio’s groundbreaking short film “Luxo Jr.” was the first computer animated short film released by Pixar during its first year as a studio in 1986.

Another Easter Egg includes John Ratzenberg, who voices many of the characters in Pixar’s films and reprises his role as the Abominable Snowman again.

Now one we all may have missed were characters in the upcoming Pixar feature, The Good Dinosaur. The animation studio loves to tease new films by adding characters we have not been introduced to yet. Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear was seen in Up before Toy Story 3. Director of The Good Dinosaur, Bob Peterson, teased a clue as to where you might find our new dinosaur friends:

<blockquote><p>Attention you MU cine-paleontologists – follow the toys!</p>&mdash; Bob Peterson (@bob__peterson) <a href=”https://twitter.com/bob__peterson/statuses/349014653445234688″>June 24, 2013</a></blockquote>

Very similar to when Nemo was introduced in Monsters, Inc.
