The final X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer has arrived, and it is all in your hands now. We get a better introduction to Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and a couple fun scenes with Beast (Nicholas Hoult) as Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) asks for his help to round up the troops. Enough marketing, give me the movie! May 23 is too far away. Check out the final trailer for Days of Future Past after the break.
From what we’ve seen in the teaser trailer and the previous trailer, this final trailer is a nice culmination of everything we know. The teaser hooked us on Logan’s travel through time back to the ’70s and the trailer before this introduced one of the main conflicts between Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), clarifying wounds have not healed yet. There are many questions that are left unanswered, which in my mind are the mark of a good promotions team. For instance, why is the young Professor X walking in some scenes and in his chair the next? And why is Beast going back and forth between his blue fur and his human form?
One of the biggest questions that I have is how much involvement does Boliver Trask (Peter Dinklage) have? I want a great villain out of this, and I know Dinklage can deliver with a spectacular performance, but the marketing hasn’t shown too much of his arc. And this trailer really doesn’t show much of the future X-Men as well, which leads me to believe they won’t be in much of the film unfortunately. All questions aside, I am highly anxious to see how Days of Future Past will unfold.
