Upcoming 2010 Film Preview

I’ve got a good list of some of the most anticipated films of 2010. Some I would really love to see and just a few here and there that are just some big names that a lot of people will see. From remakes to sequels to dramas to horror to comedy, 2010 has got it all. A little bit of this and a little bit of that, it looks like 2010 will be an interesting year of film. Hopefully it can keep up with 2009. Check out the list after the jump.

JANUARY

15 –

The Lovely Bones

Edge of Darkness

FEBRUARY

Frozen

The Wolfman

The Wolfman(Remake) Nobleman Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) returns to his ancestral homeland, where his brother has gone missing and villagers are being killed by a nightmarish beast. The search reunites him with his estranged father (Hopkins) and draws him near to his brother’s fiancée (Blunt), however, Talbot’s lager concern is the discovery of a side to himself which he never could have imagined existed. Valentine's Day

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

From Paris with Love

From Paris With Love – In Paris, a young employee in the office of the US Ambassador (Myers) hooks up with an American spy (Travolta) looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city. (John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers)

Cop Out – A comedy about two cops (Willis and Jordan) whose adventures include locating a stolen baseball card, rescuing a woman, and dealing with gangsters and their laundered money. (Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan)

The Crazies

The Crazies – (Remake) As a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton (Olyphant) tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife (Mitchell), and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival. Season of the Witch

Hot Tub Time Machine – Four guys travel back to their respective 80s heydays thanks to a time-bending hot tub. (John Cusack, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson)

Clash of the Titans

Clash of the Titans – In a loose adaptation from Greek mythology, Perseus (Worthington) who was born of a god but raised as a man, sets off on an epic mission to combat Hades (Fiennes) before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. I Love You Phillip Morris – On his second go-round behind bars, scam artist Steven Russell (Carrey) commits the ultimate con in order to break out and win back the heart of Phillip Morris (McGregor), with whom he fell in love during his first prison sentence. The Losers

MacGruber – 80s TV action icon MacGyver gets the full-on parody treatment as Saturday Night Live’s Forte uses his tools of household materials and a perfectly coifed mullet in order to save the world…in only ten seconds!! (Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Val Kilmer)

Piranha 3D – (Remake) A tremor under the surface of Lake Victoria unleashes scores of prehistoric piranhas, an event which rallies the local sheriff (Shue) who will risk everything to save her townsfolk. (Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O’Connell, Richard Dreyfuss)

Kick-Ass

Kick-Ass – Despite the fact that he has zero superpowers, teenage fanboy Dave Lizewski (Johnson) looks to reincarnate himself as a crime-fighting superhero named Kick-Ass, a decision that will inspire a subculture of copy cats, put his life in danger, and unite him with a similarly minded father-daughter duo (Cage and Moretz). Knight & Day

Salt

Salt – When CIA officer Evelyn Salt (Jolie) is called a spy by a Russian defector, she goes on the run, putting all of her experience and skills to use to elude capture, learn the truth of her identity, and hopefully clear her name. (Angelina Jolie)

Dinner For Schmucks – Tim (Rudd) is a rising executive who “succeeds” in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Carell), for his boss’s monthly event, a so-called “dinner for idiots,” which offers certain advantages to the exec who shows up with the biggest buffoon. (Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Stephanie Szostak)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 1) – Voldemort’s power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Machete – After being betrayed by the organization who hired him, an ex-Federale launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss. (Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba)

The Fighter – A look at the early years of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s. (Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams)

Hereafter – Another Eastwood film. A supernatural thriller centered on three people — a blue-collar American, a French journalist and a London school boy — who are touched by death in different ways. (Matt Damon, Bryce Dallas Howard)

Black Swan – A thriller that hones in on the relationship between a veteran ballet dancer and a rival. (Mila Kunis, Natalie Portman)

You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger – Another Woody Allen film about the tangled love lives of a family. (Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin)



Now I didn’t mention Tooth Fairy, Twilight: Eclipse, Despicable Me, Sex And The City 2 b/c that would just be silly.
