ANIME EXPO 2018: I WANT TO EAT YOUR PANCREAS Anime Adaptation Coming to Theaters by Aniplex
Aniplex of America revealed at their industry panel at Anime Expo 2018 that they will be bringing their anime film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas to theaters in the near future. Based on Yoru Sumino’s award-winning novel of the same name, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas will be produced by Studio VOLN (“Idol Incidents;” “Ushio & Tora”) and directed by Shinichiro Ushijima (“Hunter x Hunter;” “One Punch Man”) with Yuichi Oka (“Eromanga Sensei;” “To-Love Ru”) serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Anime Expo 2018: MY HERO ACADEMIA: TWO HEROES World Premiere
One of the most highly anticipated events of Anime Expo, the My Hero Academia Movie: Two Heroes world premiere, did not disappoint its fans, many of whom began lining the perimeter of the convention center at 3am in hopes of receiving one of the limited attendee wristbands that would grant access to the event. Set between the second and third seasons of My Hero Academia, the movie takes place on the man made, technologically advanced ‘I-Island,’ which is known not only for it’s impenetrable security system, but for it’s open policy of quirk usage. Star Wars Celebration 2015: Cosplay Photo Gallery
Sadly, I could only attend one day of Star Wars Celebration this year, but I did my best to capture some of the best cosplayers from across the galaxy who converged in Anaheim, CA this past weekend. There were many great variations of Sith Lords and Boba Fetts, proving it’s good to be bad. And we’re even beginning to see the popularity of The Force Awakens grow as some took the liberty to dress up as Rey (pictured above) with what little we’ve seen from the film. WonderCon 2015: Sunday Cosplay Photo Gallery [250+ Images!]
And on the third day, Easter Day, WonderCon cosplayers did not rest. They were not finished with their work as one final day of the con was left to explore and enjoy. There were a good handful of creative Easter Bunny/Jesus cosplay parodies roaming the Anaheim Convention Center. And like Saturday at WonderCon, from a legion of Deadpools to Warrior Disney Princesses, Sunday was also full of really inspiring fans who put in a lot of time into their costumes. From Attack on Titan flash mobs to wild Daleks running around the Anaheim Convention Center, cosplayers were out in full force at this year’s WonderCon. Saturday was definitely the busiest day of the con, perfect for cosplay connoisseurs to strut their stuff. Comic-Con may be the mecca for cosplayers to showoff their creativity, but don’t count out WonderCon. We’re less than a month out until Disney’s new live-action Cinderella hits theaters, which also means the world will be returning to the small little Norwegian Kingdom of Arendelle. What they import and export is beyond me, but what we do know is that in Frozen Fever everyone will be celebrating Princess Anna’s (Kristen Bell) birthday. The new short film, Frozen Fever, will be playing in front of the live-action Cinderelle on March 13, but its directors’ Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee have brought us our first look in a new teaser. Audiences will get the chance to return to Arendale to help celebrate Anna’s birthday, but not without its complications of course. Scarlett Johansson Confirmed for ‘Ghost in the Shell’ Live Action Movie
Scarlett Johansson has enjoyed an immense amount of success, recently portraying S.H.I.E.L.D.’s femme fatale, Black Widow in several Marvel Studios movies. Her other action film, Lucy, also proved to be a triumphant venture into action films, grossing over $126 million in the U.S. Johansson is continuing to follow her action film trend with a film adaptation of the beloved anime, Ghost in the Shell.
