Believe it or not, this was my first time attending Anime Expo. Although I was only able to visit for one day – July 4 – I made the best use of the time I had. I don’t watch as much anime as I would like, but I found myself in just as much awe as I would be at other cons like San Diego Comic-Con or D23 Expo. What I was most surprised by is that fans turned out in cosplay other than characters found in anime; there were people in cosplay from all kinds of pop culture fandom. Regardless of this revelation I had, cosplayers were out in full force and looked incredible. I hope you enjoy this photo gallery!
