What kind of thrills and spills will you see this weekend? I’ve got some advice to save you you’re time and money. This weekend there are some interesting flicks that might catch your eye and mind. January 15 2010, brings the box office some quite interesting tales that you should see!

The Lovely Bones – Centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. (Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Saoirse Ronan)
My Take: This looks like a good film, but there is a lot of bad hype on the film. I think it would look great on the big screen and has visionary excellence. The big critics are saying that Mr. Peter Jackson was not up to par with the storytelling of this fabled book. I would see it in theaters to take it from your point of view and see for yourself. I’d see it. See It

The Book Of Eli – In a post-apocalyptic United States, a lone man (Washington) fights his way across the country in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind. (Denzel Washington, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson)
My Take: Looks like a big action packed post apocalyptic ride, but in actuality that isn’t the case. This film has more than meets the eye and you will step in the film with more than you bargained for. This film has a lot of agendas then just dealing with the end of the world and action sequences. With big names like Washington, Kunis and Gary Oldman, this is a film that you should not miss. See It

Fish Tank – (Limited) A young girl rebelling against her slutty/abusive/drunk mother falls in love with her mum’s new boyfriend. (Katie Jarvis, Michael Fassbender, Kierston Wareing)
My Take: Interesting coming of age teen Brit movie, this film takes a look into the life of a young girl who has to deal with many adult issues. It is getting highly praised and I can see why. This film is only limited to certain areas for now, but try and get you paws on this one. See it

The Spy Next Door – Former CIA spy Bob Ho (Chan) takes on his toughest assignment to date: looking after his girlfriend’s three kids, who haven’t exactly warmed to their mom’s beau. And when one of the youngsters accidentally downloads a top-secret formula, Bob’s longtime nemesis, a Russian terrorist, pays a visit to the family (Jackie Chan, Amber Valletta, Billy Ray Cyrus)
My Take: Do I really need to take time in explaining why you should not see this ridiculousness of this film? Of course. This over the top horrendous comedy is just plain ridiculous. The aging Jackie Chan is just getting too old for these sort of things and I don’t know who had to bribe him into doing this, but this is just awful. Don’t waste your time, money and eyes on this garbage. SKIP IT
