Before you watch tonight’s season two premiere of The Walking Dead, you must watch this awesome six-part web series that is a small prequel to the first season. If this doesn’t satisfy your hunger for flesh eating roamers than you’ll just have to hold your pants on for a few more hours until 9/8c tonight on AMC when The Walking Dead lurks back onto the small screen.

Directed by Greg Nicotero, follow a young mother, Hannah, as she tries to protect her family from the chaos that spreads in her neighborhood. All the events that occur throughout these webisodes happen while our protagonist Rick Grimes is in a coma until Hannah and Rick meet.

Although each episode is about two-to-four minutes long, this series is still able to capture the amazing dramatic experiences that all of Robert Kirkman’s characters from the actual series/comic endure. First and foremost, if you believe that The Walking Dead is a horror gore fest then you are quite mistaken. This show is a drama to the core about the human condition and how each character must cope with the tragic outcome of their new post apocalyptic world.
