Funny or Die? Website or weekend movies? You decide! But if you’re reading this article then it will most likely relate to movies. Some interesting films come out this weekend and you should probably check them out OR MAYBE YOU ARE CRAZY!

The Crazies
(Radha Mitchell, Timothy Olyphant, Danielle Panabaker) As a toxin begins to turn the residents of Ogden Marsh, Iowa into violent psychopaths, sheriff David Dutton (Olyphant) tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife (Mitchell), and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival.
My Take: This George A. Romero remake, the king of zombies, has done it again. Great buzz is swarming around this film and it’s about time we got a new horror movie that actually scared us. Timothy Olyphant is a great actor and never disappoints in anything he has been in (The Girl Next Door, The Perfect Getaway, Scream 2, Live Free Die Hard); plus Danielle Panabaker is basically a great little scream queen now (Friday the 13th). There have been some lackluster horrors lately, but you should definitely be excited to see this. See This!

Cop Out
(Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan) A comedy about a veteran NYPD cop (Willis) whose rare baseball card is stolen. Since it’s his only hope to pay for his daughter’s upcoming wedding, he recruits his partner (Morgan) to track down the thief, a memorabilia-obsessed gangster.
My Take: Kevin Smith is back in a directorial role and this one shouldn’t disappoint. This wasn’t written by Smith, so don’t expect as much raunchiness as you would expect like from Clerks or Mall Rats, but this will definitely make you chuckle. I know the trailer and TV spots don’t do too much justice for this film, but if you have checked out the red band trailer that is online then you can definitely see the caliber of how far this movie will go. I think you will be surprised with the amount that this movie will make you laugh. I think they just held back the good parts from the trailer, unlike a Will Ferrell movie that gives everything away in the trailer. See It or Rent it.

Cop Out hasn’t been getting good reviews. Maybe people will look over that fact because it has Bruce Willis with Kevin Smith directing. I still might check it out this weekend.
I definitely think it’s one people need to see, will it be spectacular, probably not, but it will be funny and entertaining. I just don’t think it was marketed too well.
