Some really interesting box office contenders this weekend my friends. Who will end up on top? Probably Alice again, but who are those trying to fight the king of the hill? Many challengers step up to fight for the top spot this weekend as we get a taste of all sorts of genres this weekend. Buckle up and prepare to set your sights on these films possibly…………
Opinion: Jason Bourne? No, not really, but really, it could be, or could it? This film looks interesting, but don’t get your hopes up to much. Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are top actors, but this just seems like your run of the mill shaky cam action drama that just has Damon running around going to hunt some person down in a corrupt system. May possibly have a Bournesque taste to it, but Bourne it is not. Rent it
(Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin) A romantic drama centered on two new lovers: Tyler (Pattinson), whose parents have split in the wake of his brother’s suicide, and Ally (de Ravin), who lives each day to the fullest since witnessing her mother’s murder.
Opinion: Please, this is going to be such a bad movie that they had to cast Pattinson in this to draw a crowd. This movie looks like it has a story that goes absolutely no where and make your roll your eyes until they fall out of your skull. What you’ll really remember is how horrible this film will be and that you wasted money that you once had. Sad. But I guess the title does it’s job for that reason. Skit This Crap
Opinion: I believe that this film is hiding the good stuff for the movie. I know its hard to believe when the commercial compares itself to The Hangover, which I was disappointed that they did that, but I think this film has a lot of potential. Jay Baruchel is pretty funny in most cases and will shine in this film. There will be a lot better humor in the movie that what the TV spots lead on. Definitely should be a fun date movie to check out. See This!
(America Ferrera, Forest Whitaker, Carlos Mencia) The weeks leading up to a young couple’s wedding is comic and stressful, especially as their respective fathers (Whitaker and Mencia) try to lay to rest their long-standing feud.
Opinion: Haven’t heard of it? Yeah, neither had I. Like a mix between Step Brothers, Father of the Bride, and dashing in Carlos Mencia. I think this film could have had been interesting if it weren’t for Carlos Mencia. The trailer is all cute and sweet, but looks packed full of cheap laughs and throws all sorts of story everywhere that ultimately just lands into a conclusion and you wondering why did I watch this? Simple story lines and Forest Whitaker can’t save this movie. Skip it, maybe rent it?
