Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Trailer Showcases 25 Years of Stealth

Metal Gear Solid The Legacy Collection PS3 Trailer

At E3, an epic trailer for Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection was showcased, depicting the last 25 years the franchise has given to the gaming world. Now that trailer has officially come out to the public, nostalgia begins to set in with less than a few weeks before the game’s release on July 9. Highlighting the events from the beginning up to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, the trailer can be found after the jump along with details for the collection.

Mark this as one of my most anticipated releases of the year. Sure it’s a collection that will only be replaced once Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is released, but I feel as though MGS5 is a start of a whole different series for the franchise. Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is the culmination of the past 25 years, which many game franchises can ever say they have reached.

Check out the trailer below:

The entire franchise has sold more than 33 million units to date, and has become one of the most revered video game franchises of all time. It’s definitely my favorite series. The Metal Gear Solid games have always evolved over the years, increasing the depth of gameplay through its intricate storytelling. If there was one collection of games to have, this would be it. And to gain all of these games in a $50 package is a steal. If you’ve never played any of these games, I highly suggest now is the time for your calendar to open up.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be available nationwide for the PS3 exclusively on July 9.
