‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Quarter Quell Character Posters Celebrates the Victors

'The Hunger Games Catching Fire' Quarter Quell Character Posters

It was only a few months ago when Lionsgate released the teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It’s mysterious and gives viewers a good taste of the darker subject matter from the books by Suzanne Collins. Exactly what a teaser should be. We weren’t introduced to too many new characters aside from Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), but now that these Quarter Quell posters have debuted, fans of the books will be pleasantly delighted to see their favorite characters come to life. Check out all 12 posters after the jump to see the victors from various Districts that play a big role in Catching Fire.

In Catching Fire, we get to meet many of the other victors from Hunger Games past. With Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), the recent victors from District 12, on their Victors Tour to each district, the world of The Hunger Games will expand to great heights. Along with Katniss and Peeta, in the character posters below you will see Gloss (Alan Ritchson) and Cashmere (Stephanie Leigh Schlund) from District 1; Brutus (Bruno Gunn)  and Enobaria (Meta Golding) from District 2; Beetee (Jeffrey Wright) and Wiress (Amanda Plummer) from District 3; Mags (Lynn Cohen) and Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) from District 4; and Johanna Masion (Jena Malone) from District 7.

With the release of these Quarter Quell characters posters for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire came a warning from The Capitol that reads:

Citizens of Panem: Every quarter century, The Capitol honors the anniversary of its victory over the Districts with a special edition of the Games. This year—for the first time in history—your favorite victors will return as tributes. As usual, all residents are required by Capitol law to watch the Games. Insubordination will not be tolerated.

What do you think of the casting of the victors? Do they fit description of the characters you had in your mind while reading the books?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters and IMAX everywhere on November 22, 2013.
