The Hunger Games Catching Fire Teaser Trailer Stanley Tucci

Now that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has accumulated over $850 million in box office sales worldwide, the commercially and critically acclaimed young adult blockbuster will be making its victory tour on Blu-Ray and DVD March 7. Not only is Catching Fire the highest grossing film of 2013 domestically, but it is also the first film with a female lead to top the annual box office since The Exorcist in 1973. Kudos to Lionsgate. After the break, check out all of the goodies and special features that will be available for both formats.

As sad as I am that I wasn’t able to see Catching Fire on a true IMAX screen I still highly enjoyed my time in the theaters – I saw it at an Regal RPX theater. I am really excited to check out the 9-part documentary the Blu-ray has to offer and see how director Francis Lawrence tackled this monstrous franchise after being handed the reins of a shaky cam disaster. Catching Fire is a huge upgrade from The Hunger Games and I’m sure this Blu-ray transfer will look absolutely beautiful. (Watch the trailer here)

  • “Surviving the Game: Making Catching Fire – 9-part feature-length documentary (Blu-Ray Only)

Winning means they must turn around, leaving their loved ones behind and embark on a “Victory Tour” through the districts. Along the way, Katniss senses a rebellion simmering – one that she and Peeta may have sparked. At the end of the Victory Tour, President Snow announces a deadly 75th Hunger Games that could change Panem forever.
