In this edition of Capitol TV, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) addresses the citizens of Panem to unite as one. However, others have a different vision of unity. Beetee (Jeffrey Wright) and the rebels have hijacked the video transmission and have a special message from District 13. Watch the latest viral video for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 after the break.
–BEWARE: SPOILERS FOR THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE ARE BEYOND–
Capitol TV last brought us our first look at President Snow with Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) by his side, and now we have Johanna Mason (Jena Malone) on his left. As we found out at the end of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the rebels could not retrieve Johanna or Peeta, which is why we see them next to Snow in the Capitol propos, what the world of Panem calls political propaganda. Why are they there, so calm and collected? Do they feel betrayed by the rebels for leaving them or is there something more sinister afoot?
Only book readers know the true answers. I am surprisingly one of those book readers, which is a rarity for most cases. For what it’s worth, I very much disliked the book Mockingjay, but feel Lionsgate is doing a great job with the viral marketing. Showing audiences a new concept to grasp takes the world of The Hunger Games in a different direction than they would be expecting. Mockingjay completely flips the story on its head and Beetee’s interruption of the propos is just a start of something greater.
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is still missing from the marketing, but I feel the Mockingjay will show her face soon.

This is The Capitol’s description of the video:
In this second address to the nation, your victors Peeta Mellark and Johanna Mason stand by President Snow as he commends citizens for their cooperation and unwavering dedication to a unified Panem.
