Comic-Con 2014: Square Enix to Host Open Arcade at Whiskey Girl

Comic-Con 2014 Square Enix Arcade Hosts Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5, Hitman Sniper, Lara Croft

Square Enix has partnered with Deep Silver to bring San Diego first-hand demos of their upcoming game lineup during Comic-Con 2014 weekend. Fans attending SDCC and those without a badge are welcome to experience this free arcade hosted at Whiskey Girl restaurant and bar in downtown Gaslamp on Friday and Saturday. Find out what games you can expect to get your paws on after the break.

This two-day arcade event will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 am on both Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at Whiskey Girl, located at 702 Fifth Ave. It’s a pretty spacious bar and there should be plenty of room for gamers to spread out and enjoy a drink while getting a look at some of the new games both Square Enix and Deep Silver have to offer.

Coming from the Square Enix camp, players will be able to test their might on the recently announced Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, or the team-based multiplayer Nosgoth, or and the latest mobile games from Square Enix Montreal: Hitman: Sniper and Hitman GO (available now). And from Deep Silver, arcade goers will also be able to try out Escape Dead Island, Metro Redux (available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 26, 2014), and Sacred 3 (available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on August 5, 2014).

As a special treat for those who were lucky enough to gain a badge to Comic-Con, attendees will be able to demo Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (available for PS3 on December 2, 2014), Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call (available for Nintendo 3DS on September 16, 2014), and Hitman GO at booth #3829 in the San Diego Convention Center exhibit hall.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osris (Xbox One, PS4, PC), Nosgoth (PC), Hitman: Sniper (iOS, Android), and Escape Dead Island (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, all have unconfirmed release dates, but will be out soon.

San Diego Comic-Con 2014 officially kicks off on Thursday, July 24 and ends on Sunday, July 27.
