San Diego Film Festival’s Official 2014 Documentary and Short Film Lineup

San Diego Film Festival 2014 Official Documentary Film Lineup

Yesterday we gave you a preview of the 25 feature length films that will be shown during the 13th Annual San Diego Film Festival, and today we’ve got the documentary and short film lineup. Included in this year’s SDFF schedule are 14 docs and 50 short films vying for your attention during the five-day festival. Check out the full list of films after the break.

Seen at this year’s SDFF, the Chelsea’s Light documentary will hit home for many San Diegans after the terrible incident that occurred in 2010. One of the listed docs below that interests me is Waiting for Mamu, the story of a three year who was sentenced to prison until they turn eleven. Another that I find interesting is about a blind pianist, Touching the Sound. And lastly, the one that intrigues me the most is Death Makes Life Possible. Not a great name for a film, but the premise is sure to hit home for many who are curious about how death affects life.

These 14 docs will be in competition to win the Best Documentary Award and another the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature:
