Welcome to your Netflix Streaming Report for February 4, 2016. After the long week you deserve a relaxing staycation with a bowl of popcorn, a bucket of ice cream, and only your Netflix queue to judge you. This past week, Netflix Watch Instant has been kind enough to supply us with Sin City, Better Call Saul (Season 1), Love, Cruel Intentions, and many more. Also, find out what the Netflix and Chill pick of the week.
Better Call Saul: Season 1 (Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould) Rated TV-14 [47 min] – The trials and tribulations of criminal lawyer, Saul Goodman, in the time leading up to establishing his strip-mall law office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Starring Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael McKean, and Michael Mando
Spin-offs of acclaimed series like Breaking Bad rarely payoff, but Better Call Saul is a fantastic reminder why we love this universe Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould helped create. It’s not a complete departure from the world of Walter White as it fills in the extra layers of the ABQ we weren’t privy to before. Bob Odenkirk and everyone else involved are tremendous, and there are many twists and turns that it keep the spirit of Breaking Bad alive and well.

Sin City (Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller) Rated R [2h 4min] – A film that explores the dark and miserable town, Basin City, and tells the story of three different people, all caught up in violent corruption. Starring Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Alexis Bledel, Powers Boothe, Rosario Dawson, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Clarke Duncan, Jaime King, Carla Gugino, Brittany Murphy, and Josh Hartnett
This site wasn’t named in tribute after Sin City for no reason. I love this movie. You’ll love this movie. It’s the perfect balance of everything there is to love about movies: striking visuals, playful dialogue, captivating performances, and more. It’s a well-built world that sadly its sequel couldn’t live up to. But this film is amazing.

Love (Gaspar Noé) Not Rated [2h 15min] – Murphy is an American living in Paris who enters a highly sexually and emotionally charged relationship with the unstable Electra. Unaware of the effect it will have on their relationship, they invite their pretty neighbor into their bed. Starring Aomi Muyock, Karl Glusman, and Klara Kristin
I haven’t yet seen Love, but Gaspar Noé isn’t one to disappoint when it comes to obscure, thought-provoking stories. Just be prepared for some graphic imagery.

Crossroads (Tamra Davis) Rated PG-13 [1h 33min] – Three childhood best friends, and a guy they just met, take a road trip across the country, finding themselves and their friendship in the process. Starring Britney Spears, Anson Mount, and Zoe Saldana
You think you want to check out this film for the lulz because it has Britney Spears and it looks like it could be so bad it’s good, but you’ll soon find out that your S/O will want to chill faster than you can say Netflix.
