Get Buried in this Trailer

The official trailer for Ryan Reynolds new thriller, Buried, was recently released attached to A Nightmare on Elm Street. This low budget indie film caught the eye of Lionsgate at the Sundance film festival this year when it won over audiences with its unique story and dare I say set design? Not since The Descent have we really gotten a film to capture the essence of a classic case of claustrophobia.

Synopsis: Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time- fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.

MOVIE POSTERS!!! Inception, Get Him to the Greek, Buried, The Last Airbender, and Scream 4

Buried

Well a lot of movie posters have been releasing lately and I finally had the time(?)/drive to want to post them. They are actually pretty cool, well except for Scream 4. The others are pretty badass. The Scream 4 tagline, I actually believe, is pretty catchy and smart on their part. Hopefully the franchise has a gameplan in mind without Neve Campbell and putting it all on David Arquette and Courtney Cox. The Last Airbender character posters are pretty spiffy, but I’m sure there are still people out there pissed about the casting, oh well. The new Inception poster was found sometime last week, I believe, and is pretty Chris Nolan if I do say so. Nothing too revealing, but just grabs your attention barely. Nolan is very minimalistic with his posters, but something about them are just really enjoyable. Buried has a really daring poster with very little to show, but a whole lot of engagement. Little do people know about this movie, but they will now after this poster. I find it very well done and frightening for a poster. Well done lads. Finally there is also, Get Him to the Greek, starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. I think this poster is trying to give The Hangover vibe, although the movie is nothing like The Hangover, the poster sure makes you want to believe it and perhaps fool audiences.

Check them all out after the jump!

People Are Diggin’ ‘Buried’

Ryan Reynolds’ new film, Buried, is getting so much hype from this years Sundance Film Festival. Buried‘s only star and actor is Ryan Reynolds; there are other people in the film, but more like voice actors. The film is a Rodrigo Cortés directed film written by Chris Spelling; a bit of unknown talent as far as the film industry goes. Paul (Reynolds) is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he is buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it’s a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

After the official screening at Sundance, critics at Firstshowing.net and /Film.com have been praising this film. There has been so much praise, in fact that Lionsgate have picked up the film for distribution; hopefully for a very soon release date. I am pretty excited to see this film since Reynolds is my favorite actor. This film seems like a little gem that breaks away from the norm and is pretty ballsy and new. I like it. I can’t wait to see this film

Ryan Reynolds’ movie, Buried, has finally got an official one sheet that looks interesting. With a lighter and a cell phone as his only friends, Mr. Reynolds seems to be in quite a predicament of being buried alive. Time will only tell if this movie will be decent or not, but I have faith in Reynolds.

First Look: Ryan Reynolds ~ Buried

Aullidos has your first look at Ryan Reynolds in Buried, director by Rodrigo Cortes and written by Chris Sparling. Reynolds plays a civilian contractor who’s kidnapped in Iraq and awakens buried in a coffin in the desert, armed only with a cell phone, a candle and a knife.
