‘Jurassic World’ Trailer Arrives Early Sans Shirtless Jeff Goldblum (73 Screenshots)

Jurassic World First Teaser Movie Trailer

Hold on to your butts! Black Friday for Universal Pictures is gifting the world the first trailer for Jurassic World two days earlier than expected. Sparing no expense, the newest entry into the Jurassic Park series has put some folks into a tizzy based on the film’s heavy use of CGI dinosaurs. Are they right? Watch the trailer after the break to see for yourself.

I’ll admit that I am not as bothered with the use of CGI here as much as most folks have taken to Twitter to make a big stink about. I love the original Jurassic Park and and champion it’s use for practical effects, but all of the scenes shown in this trailer are highly impractical not to use the technology. Maybe they do use practical and they just don’t show it here. You can even tell that the effects aren’t finished yet because we’re seven months out from the film’s release.

The trailer looks great. I am pretty excited to see what Jurassic World has to offer. It’s an entirely different time and place. This ain’t your grandpas Jurassic Park. There’s a Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville in the park! Although there is no official plot synopsis revealed yet, I think the theme hinted at with Bryce Dallas Howard’s character playing God with dino genetics is true to the originals’ intent. What I find really fascinating is how Chris Pratt’s character, Owen, is able to ride on a motorcycle alongside his posse of raptors, it’s like they have been able to tame the dinosaurs to their will.
