Where Was A ‘Mad Men’ Course When I Went to School?

No, but seriously why did I go to a school that offered nothing, but boring stereotypical classes that offered very little insight into something remotely attention worthy and enjoyable? The Huffington Post reports that Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois will now be offering a consumerism studies class on the hit television series, Mad Men.

“‘As a historian, I work on politics from the ground up. ‘Mad Men’ provides a good understanding of how ordinary people participated in history and produced change in politics broadly conceived,'” exclaims the assistant professor of history, Michael Allen.

Not only will this class focus on consumerism, but also delves into the social disfunction of families of the 1960s. First a zombie class in the North East, now a Mad Men class only one hour away from me. Ugh.
