‘Pitch Perfect’ Releases Early in Select Theaters September 28

Pitch Perfect Title

This is just a friendly reminder that due to an overwhelming hype, Pitch Perfect will be releasing early in select theaters September 28. Looking at the ridiculous, cheeseball moments the marketing for this film has created, Pitch Perfect has been poorly misrepresented and I urge you to seek out this film.

The current TV spots for Pitch Perfect are really daring and ask you to check out what others are saying on Twitter using the hashtag, #PitchPerfect – and honestly, I wouldn’t suspect to find anything too harsh on the film. The trailers definitely do not give the film justice, but I ask of you to please give this film a chance; it’s a really great time.

If you feel like you need to give the trailer one more look over, although I would advise against it, I present it to you below just so you can can have a moment to reflect after the movie and say to yourself, “huh, that trailer definitely fooled me.”

Looking at the cast you would never suspect that all of these actors would work together, but there is a unique chemistry to it all. And above all it gives Adam DeVine a chance to spread his wings beyond Workaholics. (I actually did not realize he was in this movie until I went into the film, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.) And of course, Anna Kendrick is a sweetheart like always, so there’s always that to fall back on.

The official plot synopsis from Apple Trailers:

Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who’d rather listen to what’s coming out of her headphones than what’s coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together, in the new out-loud comedy Pitch Perfect. Loaded with new takes on old favorites to hits of right now that are seamlessly mixed together, mashed up and arranged like you’ve never heard before.

Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) stars with a ragtag group of characters played by the actors Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids), Anna Camp (The Help), Brittany Snow (Hairspray), Adam DeVine (Workaholics), Alexis Knapp (Project X), Skylar Astin (Hamlet 2), Ester Dean (Rio), Hanna Mae Lee, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad).
