From we have gathered based on the red band teaser trailer and previous red band trailer presented to us thus far, a lot of celebrities visit James Franco’s house for a big party and then the world seems to be fall apart. There hasn’t been really anything else for audiences to understand. This new green band trailer expands a little bit on the plot, and it may have to do with the actual apocalypse depicted in the Bible.

For anyone still fearing spoilers, there are about two to three jokes you may not be happy you had seen, but I don’t think those moments will absolutely kill the mood. In fact, I think these jokes here are just a taste of what’s to come. Given that the Bible is introduced in this trailer, it is interesting to look at the strange blue beams of light from the sky that is sucking people up. There is also a hell beast roaming around the house. Watch the trailer below and see what you make of This Is The End:

As we explore a little further into the trailer, I believe it would be safe to assume not everyone will be utilized as much as you think. We know from the trailers that certain people die, but it would appear that Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, and Craig Robinson are the main attraction to this apocalyptic laugh fest. And I have no problem with that. These actors can easily hold their weight on screen and have a great chemistry together from what we’ve seen from Pineapple Express, Superbad, Funny People, and Knocked Up.

With the directorial debut of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, it will be interesting to see how well the writing duo fair in constructing a full-length feature film narrative out of their original short film, Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse. Sometimes short films were meant to be short films, while others benefit from the longer convergence of time.

What are your thoughts on This Is The End? Who do you want to see die? Which star are you most looking forward to see?
