Nintendo was not shy in introducing Villager from Animal Crossing. The new trailer below features a tease of Villager segueing into gameplay footage of the 3DS version and Wii U version. Right as the action hits a climax with a battle between Bowser and Mario, the villager makes his big debut in the battle zone. It’s a pretty action packed trailer, showcasing what the little guy is made of. Check it out:

The graphics look very sharp; what we should come to expect from Nintendo now that it has a console up to par with current-gen systems. The variations of attacks that Villager has look fresh compared to some of the characters that have similar fighting styles. He appears to consist of mainly close range attacks and it will be interesting to see his full plethora of moves.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will unfortunately not hit shelves until 2014.
