As one of the most risque marketed films of yesteryear, Nurse 3D is coming home on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on April 8 after its short limited release in theaters. It’s quite common for horror movies such as Nurse 3D to get such a short run, and that’s fine. Sometimes it’s more rewarding to be able to find these celebrated genre titles on home video because it’s as if you have found El Dorado and can embrace it in the comfort of your own home. Check out the special features list for Nurse 3D after the break.
Unfortunately I was not able to catch Nurse 3D while it played up in La La Land, but I’m glad to see that it is coming to home video so soon. It seems like it has the right amount of raunch, cheese, and violence for a perfect B-horror movie night.
Directed by Douglas Aarinokoski, Nurse 3D stars Paz de la Huerta (Boardwalk Empire) and Katrina Bowden (30 Rock) in one of the most anticipated horror releases of the year. Here’s the list of special features you can expect to find on the home video release of Nurse 3D:
- “Bad Medicine: The Making of Nurse” featurette
- Audio Commentary with director Douglas Aarniokoski
- Video Diaries – behind-the-scenes with actors Katrina Bowden and Corbin Bleu
For those that may not have heard of this titular indie horror can glance at the synopsis here:
By day, nurse Abby Russell (de la Huerta) lovingly attends to the patients at All Saints Memorial Hospital; by night, Abby prowls nightclubs, luring unfaithful men into dangerous liaisons. After Danni (Bowden), a young, sensitive nurse, joins the hospital staff, Abby pursues her friendship. But when the friendship turns to obsession, Danni spurns Abby, unleashing Abby’s fury and a rampage of terror.
Nurse 3D hits home video on 3D Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on April 8, 2014.
