It’s Mad Men month as AMC gears up for the April 13 season seven premiere with 10 new character photos. Featured along with Peggy Olson and Don Draper (above image) are the rest of the cast from Roger Sterling to Betty Draper Francis. Check out all 10 images after the break.

At the end of season six, feelings were hurt, ties were severed, and Don Draper was left to fend for himself for the most part. Which makes looking at these new promo stills ask a lot of questions. I don’t think the images should be taken too literally, as most of the Mad Men marketing tends to focus more thematically at where the series is headed.

Don and Roger didn’t leave season six in the best of terms, so I don’t see how them sitting on a plane would make much sense. The same could be said about Don and Megan. Aside from the fact that California has played a big factor lately, an airport can mean many things symbolically. There are many arrival and departures, but also delays, and surprise layovers.

When it comes to Mad Men, the best course of action is to just believe in Matthew Weiner and don’t take anything by face value until you see it for yourself. Or it could just mean that all of these characters have booked a one-way ticket to Hell based on all of the horrible things they have done over the last six seasons; little Sally Draper is still an angel.
