Pretty cool right? Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers; Lost in Translation) looks like she is tapping into her inner Black Widow while taking on an Oldboy-esque revenge persona with super powers. When I watch this trailer, I think, “this is what Limitless should have been.” It makes perfect sense. Not only does it go beyond the limitations of what Bradley Cooper‘s character could do, but Lucy looks like a hundred times more fun. Director Luc Besson is no stranger to exciting thrillers such as Lucy, so I look forward to what he can bring to the table with how interesting of a concept this film is.
Johansson has been picking some very unique roles Lately. Along with her other duties fighting villains as part of The Avengers, Johansson has recently been in Don Jon as the sultry love interest, Under the Skin as a seductive alien, and Her as the voice of a sentient operating system. I really enjoy the direction her career is taking because these are some pretty daring roles and shows she is very multifaceted.
