Get ready for that chocolate and vanilla swirl because the first official trailer for Orange is the New Black has just hit the Internet. As one of the most highly critically and commercially new shows to hit the airwaves last year, season 2 of Orange is the New Black is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year. Check out the trailer after the break.
When we last saw Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) she was kicking ass and taking names. And by the looks of things, she was sent to solitary for it. This first trailer doesn’t show Penssatucky, but Taryn Manning is slated to return, so we’ll what happened to her one way or another. Another person we don’t see much of in this trailer is Alex (Laura Prepon). I doubt she’ll be taking a backseat in season 2 by the way things ended in season 1 with Nicky.
The one thing you should take note of is the two new faces, Brooke Soso (Kimiko Glenn) – the Asian one – and Yvonne “Vee” Parker (Lorraine Toussaint). Soso adds some more color to the cast of mainly African, Caucasian, and Hispanic races. Will some of the ladies get yellow fever? Vee on the other hand looks like she may be the main protagonist of the season who will spice things up with Red. She looks threatening enough and this trailer keeps her story mysterious, so it will be interesting to see her back story of how she became locked up and her past relationships with the inmates as they state she has been there before.
