Hot off of the success of Frozen, Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first teaser trailer for Big Hero 6. The much anticipated first Marvel Comics animated film from Disney will be the first big test for the House of Mouse, and just by looking at the teaser, they’ve set the bar high for the film’s release. Find the trailer and 78 screenshots after the break.
Taking a page out of Pixar‘s book, Disney has really gone for the more intimate moments without the use of cheesy dialogue or quick one liners. And while this is a Disney Animation film, you definitely feel the Marvel Comics vibe, which is where the source material comes from. Can you say “cha-ching”? That deal to buy Marvel has really come in handy for Disney and one can only imagine how many Marvel/Disney movies they’ll churn out if this proves to be a hit success. After Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6 should be a sure thing.
You definitely get an Iron Man feel here with Hiro Hamada building armor for his robot pal Baymax. It’s playful, very well animated, and showcases so much personality within the characters just within the short two minute time frame. The colors and the style definitely take a page from Wreck-It Ralph, but it definitely feels new age and more comic book-y and less video game-y. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the characters look like.

The plot synopsis for Big Hero 6 below comes courtesy of Walt Disney Animation Studios:
“Big Hero 6” is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a cutting-edge robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.
Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Big Hero 6 is directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt), and produced by Roy Conli (Tangled).
Big Hero 6 hits theaters in 2D and 3D on November 7, 2014.
