‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Official Cast Photos Revealed

The Walking Dead Season 5 Cast Photos

After the first trailer for The Walking Dead released earlier this month, things look to be pretty grim for our survivors. Not as grim as they have been, but not as great as they use to be. AMC has now released official cast photos of the group as well as the new big bad in town Gareth, played by Andrew J. West. Check out the full gallery of images after the break.

So brooding yet eyes with the determination to live, our favorite group of survivors look quite unhappy about their current situation. Although the end of Season 4 left our heroes in a bit of a bind, as we can tell by the trailer and the photos, they are able to get out of one predicament, but bring upon a different scenario. The hunt is on.

I’m interested to see where this season leads fans of the comics because this is totally going way off canon. Although they do meet many unfriendly living humans, this group at Terminus will be fresh for everyone to enjoy.

Here is the official plot synopsis for Season 5 of The Walking Dead, courtesy of AMC:

Season 5 picks up shortly thereafter. What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group’s lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive.

Stories will break apart and intersect. The characters will find love and hate. Peace and conflict. Contentment and terror. And, in the quest to find a permanent, safe place to call home, one question will haunt them:

After all they’ve seen, all they’ve done, all they’ve sacrificed, lost, and held on to no matter what the cost…

Who do they become?

Developed by Frank Durabont, The Walking Dead is produced by Greg Nicotero, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and David Alpert. The show stars Andrew Lincoln, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, and many more.

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on Sunday, October 12 at 9/8c only on AMC.
