The wait will be finally over in a matter of days. Ubisoft has just released the official launch trailer for Far Cry 4, which hits shelves November 18. Fans of the Far Cry franchise are given an in-depth introduction to the immense sequel, including a look at the expansive new world, the characters, various weapons, and much more. Check out the launch trailer as well as a slew of screenshots after the break.
The world of Kyrat looks incredibly ginormous. There is so much crammed into this EIGHT-minute launch trailer that it’s hard to think of what they left out. Most of the characters look borderline crazy with their own specific look. But a giant game doesn’t mean it’s going to be great. Batman: Arkham Origins is quite the open world experience, but it was rather bland. What’s going to set this game apart from the other action-adventure games, to me, is it’s story and gameplay mechanics.
Far Cry 4 sequel takes a departure from its predecessors with a unique quest within the Himalayan regions of Nepal, but what stands out is its wacky villain, Pagan Min. I would hope that his inclusion into the series could make for quite the experience in what seems like your typical first-person shooter. Min is the most colorful thing about this game and hopefully Ubisoft has made Far Cry 4 just as vibrant and unpredictable.
