The latest, more “enlightening” trailer for the Sam Taylor-Johnson’s adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey has just unleashed itself. More teases of BDSM are littered throughout as the visuals lets the mind wander searching for more. Fans are going to be getting pretty hot and heavy, ready for its Valentines 2015 release date. Watch the trailer after the break.
I dug the first teaser trailer because it did just that. Twilight fanfiction hardly interests me, but the marketing team putting these Fifty Shades of Grey trailers together sell the film really well with its visual queues and use of Beyoncé. This new trailer doesn’t really expand anything we already know, but we are given more dialogue that kind of wanes my interest. Less is more, right?
We’re given a few more glimpses of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) together in the bedroom, but as I said, a lot is left to our imagination. It will be interesting to see what rating the MPAA will give Fifty Shades of Grey and how far the filmmakers went to capture the essence of the steamy book. I’m not too familiar with how detailed the book goes into the sex, but based on how much the series has been talked about, I would hope they try and stay true to it on film.

There is no official plot for the film, but here’s the book overview from Barnes and Noble:
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, alongside Dornan and Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey stars Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian’s brother; Victor Rasuk as José, Anastasia’s close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia’s best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian’s mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian’s sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian’s bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia’s stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia’s mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla’s husband.
Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters Valentine’s Day weekend on February 13, 2015.
