Welcome to your Netflix Streaming Report for November 20, 2014. After the long week you deserve a relaxing staycation with a bowl of popcorn, a bucket of ice cream, and only your Netflix queue to judge you. This past week, Netflix Watch Instant has been kind enough to supply us with Sabotage, Dream House, Ikki Tousen, Dogs with Jobs, and more, which you’ll find after the break.
Sabotage (David Ayer) (Rated R) 109 min – Members of an elite DEA task force find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard, and Olivia Williams
David Ayer’s End of Watch and this year’s Fury are pretty great watches. But from what I hear, Sabotage is pretty lackluster. Good thing it’s free to stream! It looks generic, but the trailer is OK. (Watch it now)
Dream House (Jim Sheridan) Rated PG-13 [92 min] – Soon after moving into their seemingly idyllic new home, a family learns of a brutal crime committed against former residents of the dwelling. Starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts
From what I’ve been told, this movie is a complete disaster. At a cool hour and a half, I can’t imagine it could be that painful to check it out on Instant? (Watch it now)
Donald Glover: Weirdo (Shannon Hartman and Michelle Caputo) Not Rated [65 min] – With his unique brand of youthful storytelling Donald Glover brings down the house in his hysterical stand-up special Weirdo. Starring Donald Glover
Donald Glover is a pretty funny guy. His stand up, from what I’ve witness is solid. There’s never a bad reason to tickle your tummy with a good laugh from a comedian. (Watch it now)
Undercover Boss (Stephen Lambert) (Season 5) Rated TV PG [60 min] – An Emmy Award-winning reality series that follows high-level corporate executives as they slip anonymously into the rank-and-file of their own companies. Each week, a different executive will leave the comfort of their corner office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their corporation. Starring Mark Keller, Justin Nichols, and Stephen J. Cloobeck
Never seen the show, but for those who like it can get excited that Season 5 is now available. (Watch it now)
Ikki Tousen (Season 3 & 4) (Takashi Watanabe) Rated TV MA [23 min] – Preparing for the battles to come, tournaments and to fight against new opponents from over the world, Hakufu is working to have enough money to make her dream true. But she doesn’t consider that old and new allies and enemies will come to scene, and also being a weak leader to the eyes of her companions. A sister also appears. She doesn’t even know her mom’s past so better to start from the local stuff before attempting to go worldwide. Starring Masumi Asano, Satoshi Hino, and Kikuko Inoue
I’ve been on an anime kick this year. I’ve watched Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, and Gurren Lagann. Ikki Tousen looks pretty crazy, but the concept is so zany that I would definitely like to check it out. The concept is quite similar to Kill la Kill, but without the bizarre sci-fi twist. (Watch it now)
Dogs with Jobs (Glen Salzman) (Season 2) Not Rated [23 min] – From rescuers to entertainers, this series follows working dogs around the world and explores the intense bond they share with people. Starring Jon Kalina, John Ralston, and Andrew Burr
Who doesn’t love dogs doing things? Look at that shiba! (Watch it now)
Chelsea Peretti: One of the Greats (Lance Bangs) Not Rated [74 min] Writer/actress/comedienne Chelsea Peretti presents a re-imagining of the hour-long special. Starring Chelsea Peretti, William Armando, and Eric Andrew
Another comedy special you may find interesting. I’ve never seen Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but I’ve only overcome positive reviews. (Watch it now)
[Note: There was very little that released over the last week. I was really stretched thin for with recommendations]
