Netflix Streaming Report: Tinker Tailor Solider Spy, Dragon Tattoo, and More

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Now On Netflix

Welcome to your Netflix Streaming Report for January 22, 2015. After the long week you deserve a relaxing staycation with a bowl of popcorn, a bucket of ice cream, and only your Netflix queue to judge you. This past week, Netflix Watch Instant has been kind enough to supply us with Tinker Tailor Solider Spy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and more, which you can find after the jump along with which titles will be leaving this February.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Tomas Alfredson) Rated R [127 min] – In the bleak days of the Cold War, espionage veteran George Smiley is forced from semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet agent within MI6. Starring Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt, Mark Strong, Toby Jones, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Stephen Graham

I’m not a procedural kind of guy, but you can’t deny being interested in this stellar British cast. For those who want something a little more action oriented, this won’t be for you. However, if mystery and suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat, you’ll definitely find TTSS intriguing. It does not hold your hand and truly demands your attention, so you might want a good night’s sleep before checking out this flick. (Watch it now)

patton oswalt tragedy plus comedy equals time

Patton Oswalt: Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time (Bobcat Goldthwait) [59 min] – Recorded in Spreckels Theater in San Diego, California, comedian Patton Oswalt returns for his 5th feature-length stand-up comedy special.

When character actor Patton Oswalt isn’t arguing with people on Twitter people may actually remember that he does stand up. I haven’t seen it, but his comedy is pretty top notch when it comes to observational humor. (Watch it now)

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Niels Arden Oplev) (2009) Rated R [152 min] – A journalist is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing — or dead — for forty years by a young female hacker. Starring Michael Nyqvist, Noomi Rapace, and Ewa Fröling

Real talk: I am not a fan of this story. I think that this Swedish version and David Fincher’s recent adaptation was well done, but nothing other than lead character Lisbeth really captures my attention. But if you haven’t checked it out yet, I would definitely suggest it for the sake of saying you have. (Watch it now)
