Latest ANNABELLE: CREATION Trailer Furthers The Conjuring Universe

Pushed from a May 2017 release to now August 2017, a new trailer for ANNABELLE: CREATION has unleashed itself upon the world. The latest pre-prequel footage explains in short how the infamous Annabelle doll came to be while also introducing the latest victims to fall prey to its evil, an orphanage. What could possibly go wrong?

Although this is the story of Annabelle, if we look closely at the characters and apply the Pythagorean Theorem one could assume Annabelle: Creation is teasing the origins of another demonic presence we met in The Conjuring 2. In this trailer we see a sister of the faith who I believe will become the demonic nun who terrorizes the Warrens in The Conjuring saga, and who will also gain their own spin-off, which was announced last summer. Hopefully, this will lead to some kind of James Wan Avegers-esque horror team-up movie with all the demons coming together to destroy rather than save.

The Conjuring kicked-off this new shared horror universe on a budget of $20 million and reaped a whopping $318 million globally. Branching off as a side story, Annabelle, although only raking in a cool $256 million, was produced on a $6.5 million budget. And recently, The Conjuring 2 was developed on double the budget of its original with $40 million and found itself taking in $320 million worldwide. There’s no indication of budget for Annabelle: Creation, but I gather it can’t be more than $15 million.

Below you’ll find the official plot synopsis for Annabelle: Creation, courtesy of Warner Bros.:
