Teaser Trailer for MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS Conducts Initial Investigation

After the countless social media posts of Josh Gad invading Daisy Ridley’s trailer, we finally catch out first glimpse of what they’ve been working on together in the teaser trailer for Murder on the Orient Express. Adapted from the famed 1934 Agatha Christie whodunit novel and directed by Kenneth Branagh (Thor; Hamlet), this looks like one train ride many audiences will be all aboard for.

Along with Ridley and Gad, the cast is led by Detective Hercule Poirot, played by Branagh himself. Also seen in the train car line up of suspects finds Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Dame Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom JR., Michelle Pfieffer, Michael Peña, and Lucy Boynton. The trailer identifies the ensemble cast as if we’re about to play a game of Clue, each with a signifying career path or marital status.

It’s a simple teaser that sets up the pieces on the board exquisitely well. Working with such a versatile cast, it’s easy to believe how deliciously fun this game will be played.

There are brief profiles of each of the suspects aboard the Orient Express that details certain personality traits.
