I Want to Eat Your Pancreas Theatrical Announcement

Aniplex of America revealed at their industry panel at Anime Expo 2018 that they will be bringing their anime film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas to theaters in the near future. Based on Yoru Sumino’s award-winning novel of the same name, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas will be produced by Studio VOLN (“Idol Incidents;” “Ushio & Tora”) and directed by Shinichiro Ushijima (“Hunter x Hunter;” “One Punch Man”) with Yuichi Oka (“Eromanga Sensei;” “To-Love Ru”) serving as both character designer and chief animation director. PERSONA5 the Animation Premires on Crunchyroll and Hulu

At their industry panel at Sakura-Con, Aniplex of America announced that the highly anticipated PERSONA5 the Animation will be premiering this spring on Crunchyroll and Hulu. The series is an anime adaptation of best-selling JRPG, Persona 5, by game developer, ATLUS, first released in Japan in 2016 and subsequently worldwide in 2017. Set in modern Tokyo, “PERSONA5 the Animation” chronicles the adventures of an eclectic group of teenagers who call themselves the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts.” Together with their metaphysical manifestations known as their Personas, the group seeks to solve crimes by reforming the source of corruption within people’s hearts. The popularity of the series showed no sign of waning with a subtitled trailer posted on the Aniplex of America YouTube page quickly gaining over a quarter million views in less than 3 weeks. “PERSONA5 the Animation” premieres April 7th only on Crunchyroll and Hulu, with new episodes streaming every Saturday. Even without a Pixar release this year, 2014 has been a great for animation fans. We have been graced with the likes of The LEGO Movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Ernest & Celestine, and The Boxtrolls, just to name a few. GKIDS, one of the leading distributors of Japanese anime to North American audiences, is set to release three new gems on November 11, Patema Inverted, Welcome to the Space Show, and Nocturna.
