The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Teaser Trailer Backpacking

The arena of movie marketing is fickle. Teaser trailers can make or break an audience’s perception of a film. In the case of Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the marketing team has captured something wonderful with the song “Dirty Paws” by Of Monsters and Men and the beautiful cinematography of the film. This breathtaking teaser doesn’t give us much to work with on plot, but it does an incredible job at inviting us into the world of Walter Mitty visually. Check it out after the break. Flashy and full of camp, Gangster Squad borrows elements from The Untouchables and L.A. Confidential to poorly recreate what we’ve already seen before. Based on the book, Tales from the Gangster Squad, written by Paul Lieberman, director Ruben Fleischer has given audiences a generic, mediocre fun look into the mob genre by presenting a big picture told simply and leaving many questions unanswered. Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life Poster Debuts!

At first look I wasn’t sure if I was looking at thumbnails of the trailer, but upon a closer look, this is in fact the first poster for Terrence Mallick’s The Tree of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. This very beautiful poster is elegantly composed and full of mystery. It may not give any great detail about what this film is exactly about, but there is a certain chaotic grace among all of the stills from the film. Check out the entire poster after the jump!
