Michael Bay Changes Transformers 3 Roster, Megan Fox Cut From The Team

The big news hit today from Deadline that the little vixen with the big mouth, Megan Fox, has been passed up in Transformers 3. Paramount had decided not to use the sassy young starlet and Michael Bay had the final say. Other sources from Variety and People have as well confirmed this story. With that being said and the ominous approaching shooting start for Transformers 3, there have already been discussions on a new love interest for leading man Shia LaBeouf.

All over the interwebs, casting rumors have flown in about the new love interest. From AICN, there list claims Emmanuelle Chriqui, Hayden Panetierre, Jessica Lowndes, Zoe Saldana, Ashley Greene, and Amber Heard (just to name a few) are in the running. The Wrap has “exclusive” sources claiming that Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia; Clash of the Titans) is on the top of the list.

Rumors are rumors and I’m not going to take anything too seriously until something from Paramount or Michael Bay comes through. This new love interest could sway the story in an interesting direction giving Sam more mopeyness to his character. Or this could just be another piece of flesh on the screen for Mr. Bay to flaunt out. Fox never really did anything for me in the films other than stimulate my eyes… Will this really change the plot/script so sudden before filming? Probably not. Hopefully Ehren Kruger doesn’t get too mad about rewrites so suddenly. Let’s just hope this film will be better than the last or they fail as Shia states in an interview with AP.
