That’s where the Golden Raspberry Foundation comes in to help us look back at some of the worst performances and movies that we’d like to forget existed. The 2015 Razzies announced their big “winners” last night and it was Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas that walked away Raspberry in tow. Alongside three-time nominees Megan Fox and Cameron Diaz, find out who else nabbed a Golden Raspberry after the break. Continue reading

It has begun. Bayhem struck Super Bowl 48 last night in an all too familiar fashion. Glimpses of Transformers: Age of Extinction shook the foundation of summer blockbusters as moviegoers were given their first look at Grimlock, the leader of the Dinobots, in action. No matter how many times Michael Bay disappoints us, he always knows how to hit that sweet spot; and it looks like June 27 can’t come soon enough. Check out the teaser teaser and 28 hi-res screenshots after the break. Continue reading

Movie trailers have a big influence on how we perceive the film before going in and what we feel when the credits roll. They may make the movie look utterly terrible, completely amazing, or somewhere in between, but we each go in with expectations upon viewing them. After the Fact is a look back on how the trailers may have affected the movie going experience. This column is not a review of the movie itself, but rather on the marketing techniques used to advertise the movie. Today the trailer for Pain & Gain will be under the microscope. Continue reading after the jump and expect spoilers. Continue reading
What is said to be Michael Bay’s final contribution to the Transformers film franchise is turning out to be more spectacular than both movies combined. Go big or go home, right? This new 3D trailer that was in front of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides speaks for itself. Watching this massive trailer on an IMAX screen in 3D was almost worth more of my time than watching POTC itself (only because the trailer was two and a half minutes and not a whole movie). According to Transformers Live Action Movie Blog, this will be the last of the trailers we’ll be seeing before the film hits theaters June 29, not July 1 anymore. Check out the trailer in 2D after the jump where I also snagged 188 stills too!
Being an advertising grad, I tend to notice product placement perhaps a little more than the average bear, but FilmDrunk.com also has a product placement radar. The fine folks at FilmDrunk created a great little video montage depicting a brief history of product placement from the beginning to the present state of things in movies today. Watch the video after the break.
The lucky ones at Collider got to join a few other film writers on an adventure to Bay Films to witness over 20 minutes of unfinished footage of Transformers Dark of the Moon. Questions were answered, hope was raised, and explosions were witnessed. They also got to interview Michael Bay for over two hours, which they say is quite uncommon for the filmmaker. Steve Weintraub praises the 3D and the cinematography shown claiming, “The 3rd film has huge scope and some ridiculously awesome action set pieces. I saw some stuff that I have never seen in any movie.” You can check out his 22 minute Vlog with AICN Mr. Beaks after the break or go to the article itself at Collider to read all the Transformers Dark of the Moon information with a few minor spoilers.
What seemed to be a lost cause after Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon has given the Transformers franchise a shimmer of hope glistening amongst the stars with their new “Announcement Trailer.” Check out the very sleek, well done, and not so “Bay like” trailer after the break along with over 50 hi-res stills!
