First BUMBLEBEE Trailer Teases Humble Beginnings

Bumblebee Transformers Movie Teaser Trailer

From a mission to retrieve a pair of glasses to all out planetary warfare, the Transformers franchise seems to be moving in a less explosive plan of attack featured here in the first teaser trailer of Bumbleebee. A prequel set in 1987, the decade the original animated series arrived on the scene, the film looks to explore the relationship between the titular character and a girl who believes she’s getting a new car. Preview Night and Thursday Comic-Con 2015 Cosplay Photo Gallery

This is the moment you’ve all been preparing for people. San Diego Comic-Con. The grandaddy of them all. The place for cosplayers from around the globe to show the world what they’ve got. Turn The Right Corner will be on the scene all SDCC weekend to capture images of cosplayers in their natural environment.

As I trekked out into the sea of people downtown San Diego, I noticed that there didn’t seem to be as many cosplayers out and about during Preview Night or on Thursday. I remained vigilant, and scoured inside and outside of the convention center to ensure we found the best cosplayers of the weekend. Although there were many awesome cosplayers, much of what I found related to X-Men, The Avengers, Batman and DC villains, and Star Wars. Of course, I was most happy to run into an incredible Mad Max: Fury Road family group. They were fantastic!

Enter Supergirl! Born Kara Zor-El on the doomed planet Krypton, the preteen Kara escaped at the same time as the infant Kal-El but didn’t arrive on Earth until many years later after being lost in the Phantom Zone. Protected and raised by her adopted family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to hide the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin. Years later, at age 24, living in National City and working as an assistant for Catco Worldwide Media mogul Cat Grant, Kara has spent so many years trying to fit in that she forgot to ever stand out. All that changes when she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always destined to be. With the help of Daily Planet photographer James Olsen, her bioengineer sister Alex, and the research of the super-secret, off-the-grid Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO) and its head, Hank Henshaw, who are tasked with keeping the Earth safe from aliens, Kara takes to the skies to protect her world. Her foes include both a sinister extraterrestrial menace and the high-tech terrestrial threat of clever villains with powerful weaponry. The series stars Melissa Benoist (Whiplash, Glee), Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy), and Mehcad Brooks (True Blood), with David Harewood (Homeland) and Calista Flockhart (Brothers & Sisters), and is executive produced by Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow), Ali Adler (Chuck), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Arrow) and Sarah Schechter (Pan, The Flash). Stapleton plays hardened FBI agent Kurt Weller, who is drawn into a complex conspiracy when a naked amnesiac, Jane Doe (Alexander), is found in Times Square covered in a series of cryptic tattoos…including his name on her back. As Weller and his teammates at the FBI begin to investigate the veritable treasure map found in Jane Doe’s tattoos, they are drawn into a high-stakes underworld that twists and turns through a labyrinth of secrets and revelations-the information they uncover might ultimately change the world. In addition to Stapleton and Alexander, the series stars Rob Brown (Treme), Audrey Esparza (Public Morals), Ukweli Roach (Eternal Law), Ashley Johnson (The Killing), and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Without a Trace). From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television Blindspot premieres this fall Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.

Torn apart from their loved ones, the survivors trapped within the cordon are fighting against not only fatal infection but also isolation, fear, and the disintegration of society around them. But as they begin to gain each other’s trust, hope remains, and on either side of the cordon unlikely heroes will rise. Containment stars David Gyasi (Interstellar), Christina Moses (How We Met), Chris Wood (The Vampire Diaries), Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black (The Originals), George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence ( Spartacus: Vengeance), and Trevor St. John (One Life to Live). The very thought disturbs him. The murder attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. At the same time, God’s emissary, the angel Amenadiel, has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to Hell. WonderCon 2015 Saturday Cosplay Photo Gallery [200+ Images!]

From Attack on Titan flash mobs to wild Daleks running around the Anaheim Convention Center, cosplayers were out in full force at this year’s WonderCon. Saturday was definitely the busiest day of the con, perfect for cosplay connoisseurs to strut their stuff. Comic-Con may be the mecca for cosplayers to showoff their creativity, but don’t count out WonderCon. There were a ton of amazing cosplayers this year that were not just creative, but pretty high quality too.

Observations that occurred:

  • Her character was only announced earlier this year and already Spider-Gwen has become a widely popular character
  • There were a lot fewer Attack on Titan fans in Scout Regiment garb than I am using to seeing at cons
  • However, Kill la Kill has definitely blown up over the past year
  • Although I didn’t get any pics of them, there were quite a lot of Korras I saw running around in the distance
  • Game of Thrones and DC Comics’ characters were the most seen on Saturday, enough so that that they formed their own gatherings in the fountain plaza
  • Big Hero 6, especially Honey Lemon, has also become a very beloved character to cosplay
  • Aside from the Griff Tanen, I was surprised by the lack of Back to the Future cosplayer as it’s 2015
  • Elsa from Frozen has become the new Slave Leia
  • I didn’t see any Trekkies?
  • The Walking Dead cosplayers from Reel Guise resemble their actor counterparts too eerily close. You might recall seeing the Carol on Talking Dead if you watch it
  • And of course the Deadpools were Deadpooling

And from the images below, you’ll notice that some cosplayers are acting out of character. That’s because, either last year or the year before, I figured that as much fun as people have creating their outfits and becoming the characters they are also fans too. So to humanize the whole culture of cosplay I’ve been asking them to pose out of character in either wacky poses or making silly derp faces. This series of abnormal poses has created some really fun character moments for both cosplayers and fans alike.
