After three long years of waiting, the first teaser trailer for the next and last installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy has been officially released online today. The Dark Knight Rises is slated to be released on Friday, July 20, 2012. You can check out the trailer after the jump!
You may have already seen this trailer attached in your screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but some, like mine, did not have the teaser with it. You could imagine the frustration in so many fanboys. The trailer popped up this morning on a brand new Facebook page, so now you can watch it within the comfort of your own home. Within just the first 30 minutes of being open, the page has gained 20,000 followers.
The only things to view right now is a brief actor description and the teaser trailer, which can be viewed in full HD. I won’t post a bootlegged version of the trailer on here and unfortunately WordPress.com doesn’t allow any video embedding unless it’s a YouTube or Vimeo video so I’ll hopefully snag one soon! For now visit The Dark Knight Rises Facebook page to check out the teaser trailer!
[Update: This is the best video I’ve found so far that I can embed]

Now if you remember earlier, I posted the first official poster for The Dark Knight Rises. Within that post I stated that I am making it a personal challenge to not check out this teaser for some sick reason. I would have grabbed more screenshots than just the title, but that would involve me watching the thing. I literally just clicked the trailer and then went to the end to grab the title for a screenshot. I have a few shots below from various websites though!
I snagged these screenshots from Collider.com
