‘American Reunion’ Poster Pays Tribute To The Original ‘American Pie’ Poster

American Reunion Title

I’ve said it before AND I’LL SAY IT AGAIN, American Pie is one of my most favorite of all teen, coming of age, raunchy comedies. LOVE IT. A new poster for American Reunion has recently been released and it pays homage to the first American Pie movie poster. In my mind, this poster solidifies that this movie will be awesome – hopefully I’m not setting the bar too high. Check out the posters after the break.

Why do I have so much faith in this movie you ask? Well if you ventured out to the movie theaters this Fall/Winter season you may have checked out a little old movie called A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas. That movie was written and directed by the same guys who have done American Reunion, Hadyen Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz. If Reunion will be anything like AVHAK3C then I have all the faith in the world that this movie will be spectacular. (I really hope Chris Klein got a better acting coach since Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.)

This new poster is awesome. Although highly photoshopped, I find nostalgia factoring in to my love for it. It’s a smart move on the marketing department at Universal or whichever ad firm has taken over the development of their promotions. The tagline is smart, “Save the best piece for last.” I kind of hope they might have maybe one more under their belts if this movie becomes a success.
