After the Fact: The ‘Pain & Gain’ Trailer Pumps You Up and Lets You Down (67 Screenshots)

Go Daddy’s Super Bowl Commercial feat. Bar Refaeli is Haunting
Shock value and sex. When these two elements combine in Go Daddy’s Super Bowl 47 spot, they created one powerful commercial. Powerful in a way that it caused a lot of noise. This is far from being a good ad. But it did get people talking and that kissing noise will forever haunt my dreams. Continue reading
Ragú is the Cure for a ‘Long Day of Childhood’
While watching the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, one of the most surprisingly hilarious and racy commercials aired that featured a little boy walking in on his parents, as we as the viewers are to assume are bumping uglies. When they coined the term, “sex sells,” I’m not exactly sure pasta sauce was ever considered.
Ragú, one of the many brands under Unilever Food’s supervision, took a big leap of faith to debut this commercial, especially during such a monumental event like the Olympics. The “Long Day of Childhood” campaign composed by the BFG 9000 agency (Barton F. Graf 9000) – although his name creates BFG, I’m sure he thought he was clever referencing the video game Doom – sparked major controversy, but I consider it one of the best commercials ever. The Kia Soul Hamsters Bring Down the House
I love these damn anthropormorphic hamsters that it just drives me insane. Perhaps it’s because these commercials are just so awesome or maybe it’s because my mother told me when I was seven that my pet hamster “ran away” and I envision he turned into a break dancing brand mascot? Either way, what Kia Motors is doing for the Soul is just a wonderful thing right here. It’s been a year since we last saw these guys, let’s see what they’re up to now. Continue reading
Will AMC Convert Dish Subscribers In Time For ‘The Walking Dead’?
Dish Network subscribers who love AMC, I feel your pain. Losing your favorite station can be tough, I know, I was distraught when DirecTV dropped G4. If I were to lose AMC, I would probably switch my current cable subscriber immediately. No longer are you able to watch Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Mad Men. Where will you go to for classic movie marathons like “Mob Week” or “Fearfest”? This current war AMC is waging against Dish is not unwarranted, but will their messages be heard in time for the fall release of The Walking Dead? Continue reading
